Man, the beer selection of good German and local beers are not to be missed. They seem to get in new and fresh beers regularly. The buyers actually know what they are talking about. The food was good, service was efficient and pleasant. Looking forward to trying it again despite the distance.

Have been here many times for lunch and the place never disappoints . Came today at noon when it opens and had the place to ourselves. Service was excellent, Paulaner and Warsteiner Marzen beer was cold and food was great. TIP- come on Thursday when they have Schweinhaxen (roast ham hock) special $ 35. They only make 12 plates and runs out before 5 pm. It easily serves 2 . My German friend and I were stuffed w/o apps. Don't park in lot behind restaurant. Plenty of street parking. $1/ hour Redwood City meters- easy

Finally got around to going to this place long long after the the infamous Apple lost prototype phone incident that made it famous. I love this place great beer, great food! Then again, my father was from German speaking Zurich, Switzerland, so I guess I was destined to love this place. However my Thai wife who is from Issan Thailand loves it too! Highly recommended!

My partner and I have been coming here for the past few years since we moved in the area. Overall, the service has been the most consistent out of all the restaurants and bars we have visited. The sense of family and the familiarity the staff builds with the reoccurring customers is unlike any other. The food and beer are rotating so it's fun to try the new menu items however, my partner and I like to return to the weihenstephen vitus beer at the end of a beer try. As far as the atmosphere, inside and out is perfect. Whether it's a cold day to sit inside or a sunny day to lounge in the patio, both aesthetics are great. This place is genuinely a slice of Germany and more. Thank you for the great times and simple pleasures!

Caught lunch with a friend here and they have outdoor seating so she can bring her dog. They have a storefront of their products and a cute homey restaurant attached to it. The server was very friendly and the staff brought water for my friend's dog. They made great food recommendations and the food came out very quick. Really lovely community and teamwork at this establishment, keep up the good work!

This is one of the hidden gems in Redwood City. Imagine walking into a grocery store which extends up to a brewery with an amazing seating lots of food. I love German beers and especially breweries. This place had a wipe. It's very cozy seating lots of local people had amazing suggestions. Their food was amazing. It was not very pricey. If you're thinking about getting some nice Pilsner jefe lager hazy IPA go there. Super good a lot of sauce options which goes for your bratwurst and I am telling you that you guys are going to go back again and I have to recommend you guys to try buying stuff from there too because it's very European and they have amazing brats that you can grill or cook it in your house

My friends and I LOVE GHS. It's so much fun for a group. There are so many great beer options. The people who work there are all super friendly and personable. They always have food recommendation. Oktoberfest is such a fun event at Gourmet Haus.

Two visits about a decade apart; I am a regular! I have nothing bad to say-service is good and prompt, food fresh and hot...had an outstanding draft German Pilsner last weekend. It had been a very long time since I had a draft German beer. Lesson for me? Take a break from the strong CA IPAs once in awhile. :)

I've been visiting Haus Staudt on and off since I moved to the Bay Area 9 years ago and it never disappoints. My fiancé now tends to go more often as it's on his way home from work, but we had a chance to stop for an after work drink and snack. Their pretzels are great (although I knock a lot of the salt off) and I can usually find something I like on the beer menu. We also love the ambiance and I like to sit out on the patio when the weather is nice. Service is always great, even when their busy, and we like to stop in the store on our way home for unique grocery items (or chocolate and beer).
